Sad but the local elections are almost always influenced by this bullshit. Until it goes, don't expect things to change much.

And even then the right won't die. There is a very strong right wing contingent of 18-25 year olds. I see them everywhere I go online. The image boards in particular are notoriously right leaning.

DU is, honestly, the only notable concentration of left leaning people I've actually seen.

We're so focused on the Executive Branch that we forget all about the Legislative Branch. If we truly want change, we must elect people to Congress (and state legislatures) who will enact legislation that produces change.

That is our most important task, and we continue to fail at it, especially in mid-term elections. 2014 was a disaster. We lost the Senate, for pete's sake. Regaining control of it is going to be difficult, but we must do it, and we must work to get a majority in the House, as well.

Our government is more than a President.
