http://m.motherjones.com/environment/2015/05/bernie-sanders-greenest-presidential-candidateI think there may be room for discussion despite this article, but I think Sanders is way ahead on this one.

(7,865 posts)In fact I agree, but I think it is necessary to have the debate to make sure all Democratic candidates understand how the environment and climate change are very important to us all!

(7,865 posts)Both articles use different metrics because you can accomplish different things as an executive (governor) than you can as a legislator. I will back Bernie because I think he is best on all of the issues and has the best shot of getting the nomination.

(45,526 posts)Sanders announced). Bernie is a legislator running for an executive job. O'Malley is an executive running for an executive job. O'Malley's record (and the metrics involved in the articles) shows what he can accomplish as an executive. Sanders, no matter how good his proposed legislation is, is not tested as an executive.
I come to the opposite conclusion as you. O'Malley is better on the issues and is more electable. Who is right? We'll just have to wait and see how the primaries play out.

(7,865 posts)When that is factored in I consider it to be a bit of a wash and I end up looking at Sanders overall profile and experience in government and some of his other positions. Then I look at who I consider to be more likely to beat Hillary. For me Sanders wins that easily.
