I'm Getting the Sense That Right Wing Wants No Part ot Debate About Marriage Equality.

Yesterday I made a point of tuning into right wing radio to see what vitriol they would fly about Obama's statement.

What cracked me up is that they were desperately trying to ignore it. They were so obviously stunned that they had to wait for talking points from somebody.
It was clear to me that they weren't sure how to deal .with it which means their masters hadn't figured out yet what to tell them to say about it.

It wasn't until the late evening shows came on that they decided to address it, and even then, they stayed far far away from the merits of a debate about marriage equality. They weakly chose to totally disregard the merits of the matter and try and complain that Obama is a flip-flopper. LOL

They have to avoid a debate on the merits of the issue at all costs with Romney as their nominee. The only thing they can point to to justify their opposition is the bible, which brings religion into the mix, something Romney has to avoid less the media decides to start reporting on the Mormon church.

Because once they start attacking Obama, they won't be able to control themselves, and the story will be about their fury, and not Obama's support...after a few days, i really don't think this will be brought up that much.

They didn't want to talk about sluts. It was all about religion and only religion, then Rush made it about sex.
The media screamers seem to screw it up more often than not for them.

9. THAT brand of crazy will be coming our way after Sunday services.

Unless, of course, they've already scheduled special weekday services to deal with this heresy.

This is not only not going to go away, POTUS is forcing the Republics to defend and talk in-depth on one of their favorite subjects, a key issue of their platform in the past dozen or so election cycles, and something they really can't defend beyond the very superficial... "Gay Bad".

As was mentioned, they're just waiting to get their opinions and talking points hot off the fax machine - as soon as the RNC and Koch funded think tanks figure out what position the pundits are going to take. And, as usual, the pundits will be quoting the exact same phrases and talking points all day Sunday.

Jobs and the economy are slowly improving. Since the Republicons will never give Obama credit for either of those anyway (attacking his strengths), he hasn't even bothered going there. He's already poked them in the eye with several of their favorite social issues - Teh War on Women, Health Care and Teh Gay, to name a few. With everything else out there (SS, Medicare, Medicaid, Education, Poverty, Unemployment, Taxes, the Deficit, etc...) he can easily keep this up right until election day.

By putting everything on the table, then adding a new issue every week, President Obama has got them foaming at the mouth and so confused, they can't keep up and don't have a clue where the next hit is coming from. They're not in charge of the dialogue anymore, and they can't deal.

Face it, the Republics just aren't smart enough to handle more than two or three issues at a time. If the talking heads of the MSM go off-script during an interview and ask about something that's not on today's RNC fax sheet, the pundits bluster and flail.

This is going to be the most entertaining election season in American History.

it takes this long to find their position. Usually they are off and running right away. They were finding the most mundane things to talk about to fill air time yesterday. Now that Rush is weighing in, I guess we'll their hand soon.

Using a recorded portion of the President's statement and vowing that Mittens is doing his best at "stacking" the government with shit conservatives, while fighting to "protect" marriage from Obama's "war" on it...

I didn't listen to the rest of it, because I hung up before it finished, of course. I had to go stack a few "conservatives" of my own in the little conservative stacking room.

But yeah, they didn't wait too long to gin up their bullshit response.

Right on time.

But this will make normal people less likely to vote for them. No wonder they are trying to change the subject.
