They called me the "Ice Princess" because I would have nothing to do those boys. The long haired, hippie, musicians, were my friends. Oh, and ANTI WAR protestors too!

weight training, football, and boxing. The addition of 40-50 pounds of muscle mass and the ability to aim it with the proper amount of inertia makes all the difference.

In 7th Grade, I was jumped by a gang of about 15 of the worst bullies in my Junior High School. They didn't like my long hair any more than the peace symbol pendant I wore. The Eugene McCarthy bumper sticker on my notebook cover seemed to infuriate them most. To make matters worse, my voice hadn't yet changed. I still remember one of them shouting, "There goes the hippy-peacenik-faggot - get him!"

I put up with stuff like that often from 6th to 8th grade. The next year, I was sent away to private boarding school -- the traditional kind, with ivy, Latin, and hazing -- where after daily chapel we were all encouraged to play contact sports, lift weights, and hit each other as hard as we could (with gloves on), before being fed huge platters of meat, overcooked green beans and mashed potatoes (the rumor was the school added saltpeter to keep our testosterone levels under control).

Shortly after I came back to public High School in my Sophomore Year, I was hanging out in the parking lot smoking cigarettes (yes, they let us do that back then). Two guys started jumping up and down on the tailpipes of cars and bending radio antennas. I recognized them as some of the guys who had made my life Hell in Middle School. For some reason, I spoke up and told them to stop messing with other peoples' cars. "Who's gonna stop us?" I ended up knocking both of them flat. We all got suspended for fighting, but it was worth it.

After that, I was never picked on again, nor were any of the many new friends who started hanging around with me.

Been there, and I kicked Mitt's ass, and his buddy's, too.

I bullied the bullies - always coming to the defense of others. Willard would have been on my shit/hit list.
