Supposedly if you give to Red Nose Day you are helping kids in poverty.
I never heard of it before.

Far be it from me to be cynical about anything that might bring attention to poverty in general, and especially kids. Our society has truly dropped the ball...

(3,569 posts)and good (Wavy Gravy) to make us believe that Walgreen's is is a good company. They (and all the other retailers who buy all their goods overseas) are why we have poverty in this country. Demanding that the products they carry, and increasing wages to a livable standard will do more than some red nose ever will.
Putting a red nose on pig still makes it a pig.
Wavy Gravy must be puddling up the brown acid about now.
