Neither of them grew up with a silver spoon in their mouth. (Unlike a few potential candidates on the other side of the aisle). Does their current, relatively comfortable position mean that they do not remember being "regular people"?
The assumptions that are allowed to stand without examination are SO tiring...

(They still suck far worse for PoC than for whites, but at least the suckage gets a bit more attention from whites these days thanks mainly to social media.) But the lack of a 'silver spoon' doesn't mean they knew anything about the lives of people in poverty even then. Hillary went to Wellesley and Yale, hardly the schools of 'regular people', and was the daughter of the manager of a 'successful company'. She was upper middle class at least from birth, not 'working poor' as 'regular people' are.
Bill at least actually was a 'regular person', whose Dad was a traveling salesman who died early.

(23,664 posts)Look, I'm "relatively comfortable". I have an annual retirement income that affords me all the necessities and a few luxuries and enough money in the bank to last the rest of my life and leave a bit to my kids.
A $55 million net worth is one hell of a lot more than relatively comfortable.

She used the office of the Secretary of State to advance the agenda of the US Chamber of Commerce, Chevron, Monsanto, Tata, et al.
They are all about the wealth and power.
And she is never going to be president.
