Two things I associate with the Right Wing mentality

1) Being entertained, titillated or recreationally outraged by "extreme" news...

Mother pimps toddler for Hagen Das
Pit bull devours senior tour group
800 pound man denied spot on US gymnastics team
Pit bull bakes cake for disabled child
School teacher makes child dress as Heinrich Himmler
WWII veteran served plate of rats at Olive Garden
Some kid saw a boob somewhere
Blind nun killed for three Chucky Cheese tokens
Pit bull solves Fermat's last theorem

Note that FOX news and right wing tabloids run such stories constantly. More mainstream news, less so.

2) Having utter contempt for the concept of Law.

Reacting to subtle and difficult interpretations of law in terms of the desirability of the outcome rather than in terms of the law. Working backward from desired ends to create novel and emotionally convenient theories of law. Generally knowing nothing about the law and heaping derision on judges who make "wrong" decisions as actively seeking whatever malign outcome may come from even-handed interpretation of statute. Analyzing all aspects of criminal investigations and trials in terms of what one 'knows' the right outcome to be.
