Josh Duggar's Investigation Record Destroyed on Thursday By Arkansas Police

Investigation records tied to Josh Duggar's alleged sexual molestation of five girls have been destroyed by Arkansas police, a spokesperson told The Associated Press Friday.

Springdale Police spokesman Scott Lewis told AP that Judge Stacey Zimmerman ordered the 2006 offense report destroyed Thursday.

"The judge ordered us yesterday to expunge that record," Lewis said. He added that similar records are usually kept indefinitely. "As far as the Springdale Police Department is concerned this report doesn't exist."

The 27-year-old married father of three resigned from his lobbyist position with the Family Research Council (FRC) on Thursday after reports surfaced that the 19 Kids and Counting star sexually molested five girls as far back as 2002, when Duggar was 14 years old.

Bet the victims have all been told to remain silent.

It never happened.

The investigation and report of 2006 is completely useless for bringing about any sort of justice - not the abuser and not his parents or anyone else. At the time it was done the statute of limitations had already passed. I'm glad it was done in case any of the victims wanted to be removed from the home or wanted counseling, or if any further abuse could be determined, etc., but that didn't happen. I have no doubt whatsoever that it didn't happen because of the treatment the sisters were raised to believe was their due though I have no idea why the non-family member victim also said that she was not interested in any counseling or any sort of justice for herself, but she may also be in a similar family like the Duggars where she was raised to believe that what happened to her was her due and/or her fault.

The record was destroyed specifically at the request of one of the victims who is still a minor because she was afraid that it's presence could reveal her identity. That is the only reason the judge was ever in any position to make the ruling to destroy the record - at the request of one of the victims. Seeing as the redacted record has already been made public and it is a simple thing to be able to figure out who everyone involved including 4 of the 5 victims are, destroying the record did nothing whatsoever other than possibly giving the victim who requested it be destroyed some possible peace of mind. I don't see any problem with that and don't see why anyone else would.

Since the statute of limitation had already passed at the time of this 2006 investigation and report I'm not even sure it legally should have occurred, though again, I'm glad that it did if only to give the victims an opportunity to request removal from the home, counseling for themselves, etc. and to attempt to discover any other possible ongoing sexual abuse of anyone.

There is absolutely no justice whatsoever that can be had because of the previous existence of the record, and destroying it did absolutely nothing to keep what occurred hidden or the identities of all the people involved hidden save for possibly one of the victims who was the only non-family member victim. The redacted version made public was so poorly redacted that it was a simple thing to figure out who everyone including 4 of the 5 victims were, and no one should be able to know any of the identities of those victims. Had the one victim who is still a minor not specifically requested that a judge make a ruling on the record being destroyed no ruling would have been made, and personally, since all destroying the record could do was possibly give that requesting victim some peace of mind, I'm perfectly fine with that, though the record already being out in the public domain already identifies her anyway. Thankfully, at this point I've seen no media publicly giving out any of the names of the victims though they are known anyway. No one should be publicly naming any of the victims, and the public should not have so easily been able to figure out who all but one of them are by such a poorly redacted record put into the public domain.

Again, there is no justice whatsoever that could stem from this record not being destroyed as requested by one of the victims even at the time it was investigated and made. It was already in the public domain anyway, and so poorly redacted that all save one of the victims is easily identifiable as well as the accused abuser and his parents who covered it up, provided no safety or counseling for the family member victims, did not report the abuser son, etc.

This is EXACTLY why a statute of limitations on sexual abuse particularly that of children should not exist - because family members OFTEN cover up or disregard the abuse while the victim/s are forced to remain in the home of their abuser and are not in a position to be able to go to authorities for justice or help. It is inexcusable that due to the statute of limitations the abuser cannot be criminally held accountable nor can his abusive parents who ignored and covered up the abuse forcing the family member victims to continue to live in the home of their abuser and receiving no help whatsoever as well as opening up the victims and any other potential victims to also be abused. It is ONLY this statute of limitations that got the abuser and his abusive parents permanently off scott free.

A lot more, hence the shredding. It's so convenient how many pedophiles and pervs are connected to this story. What are the odds?

A point should be made that we need to be careful of shutting down conspiracy theories early in the development. But the term "conspiracy theory" has been unfairly equated with craziness when that isn't always the case. Maybe we need a different name for conspiracy theories when they are first brought forward like "speculative theory".

I hope we get to the bottom of this story. It will be interesting how the Corp-Media runs this.

I don't watch the show and never paid attention to it. Celebrating people who need 20 copies of themselves when we are facing climate chance and massive extinctions is the worst idea I can think of. The fact that there are so many molesters in the story doesn't really surprise me. Their religion is sick and infected with twisted ideology and hate.
