First time I've seen this video, sorry if it's been posted before. My father served in WWII, and though he survived many of his fellows did not and he carried that grief with him all his life. As a veteran myself, I salute the service and sacrifice of our men and women who have fallen in battle.

(51,308 posts)In the morning, I heard the ghosts.
I was very young, and I told my parents I didn't want to stay there another night. Dad said they were friendly ghosts because they were American. My family is actually English, but I knew what he meant.
The next morning I heard them again. I could not stay there after that.
My uncle was at D-Day. He would never speak of it.

I am old enough to have known many of the veterans who were lucky enough to make it home. One of them was my Uncle Victor.
