Abolish Homeland Security and slash the "defense" budget.

“You are much more likely to be struck dead by lightning, choke on a chicken bone or drown in the bathtub than be killed by a terrorist.”

I’ve been waiting since September 12, 2001 for the hysteria to subside.

CAN WE GET OVER THE GODDAMN HYSTERIA NOW?

What happens to the billions of rounds of ammunition purchased by Homeland Security. The fact that they have it makes me uneasy... the dismantling of a government agency with that much weaponry makes me consider our government bureaucracy and mistakes.

... but I have been reminded that Homeland Security covers a multitude of organizations, several of which are actually beneficial. So a certain amount of discretion is advisable.

My main objection is to the umbrella bureaucracy of Homeland Security per se, which adds very little value.

as a way to justify their existence and insane budgets...which are perpetual motion machines, since the more we invest in "security", the more arms we sell, the more disruptive and intrusive we are in other peoples' lives and countries, the more "defense" we need.

Absolute insanity.
