Jill Duggar reveals in a brand new interview set to air tonight that her parents were so desperate to keep their son Josh from harming the children that they resorted to some extreme safety measures.
My parents said, OK, were not going to do this hide and seek thing where two people go off and hide together,' Jill, who was one of her brothers victims, reveals in an interview with FOX News. Locks on the doors. You know, everybodys in bed girls in the girls room, boys in the boys room.
Jessa Duggar, also molested by Josh, goes on to defend his right to tout his strict morals and principles, despite his past sexual attacks.
Its right to say heres what I believe, heres my values, even if youve made stupid mistakes or failures, Jessa insists in the interview. If youve had failures in your past it doesnt mean you cant be changed. I think thats where, I think the real issue is people are making this sound like it happened yesterday.

(22,336 posts)the girls didn't do anything wrong. Typical that they'd be the ones locked up.

(13,877 posts)How can anyone fail to see these parents are grossly unfit. The girls were indentured servants with their own little sibling family...guess they relegated Josh to be the Daddy of these little pods of Duggars. Follows the sick family values.

(21,506 posts)Aside from the reality show of course.
I am curious because there seems to be a huge focus on these people lately and I am finding it hard to understand where it comes from.
Obviously allowing your bajillion children to molest each other and covering it up is wrong but I really don't understand the fascination with these people to begin with. Much like the Kardashian nonsense the focus on these people seems very odd to me.
My only thought of why these people are talked about at all is because the TV is telling people they should care about them. Is that what is going on here?

(89,252 posts)the same happened with the honey booboo show where the mother was involved with a guy who abused one of her daughters . but in the case of honeybooboo most people already saw it as trash so it didn't get much attention outside of news of it because cancelled.
with the duggars it's more about the image they put out and hypocrisy.
