The American Spring Has Begun

.................

Unlike the Tea Party, The American Spring is an organic movement that genuinely originates at the grassroots level. That’s why it is such a diverse movement with so many different perspectives. The movement against inequality isn’t funded and orchestrated by billionaires. It begins in the diverse daily lives of millions of people. The American Spring is a reaction to the millions of ways that inequality affects us every day. The millions of people involved in the movement against inequality are not primarily motivated by ideology, we are motivated by a desire for justice in our daily lives.

We are motivated by our desire to live without aggressive, brutal policing in our neighborhoods. We are motivated by a desire to enjoy the benefits of an education without being cursed by a lifetime of student loan debt. We are motivated by the desire to have access to health care without having to pay huge, unaffordable monthly premiums. We are motivated by the desire to have a decent job with a fair wage, not a job that consigns our family to poverty.

We don’t have to pick sides in this movement. We are all on the same side. We are all on the side of justice.

People of all ages and walks of life are becoming cognizant of the injustices in this country and how we're controlled by carefully-crafted lies an tricks. Messages that sound good but are empty and designed to keep us stuck.

I see people starting to shift away from competition (corporatism), from the 'every man for himself' attitude, to one of cooperation, realizing that if we don't change how we do things and start taking care of each other, we can't survive. The glaring truth is that the trajectory of our society isn't sustainable if we keep going the way we are.

As this movement manifests, those who want to keep things as they are will pull out all the stops. But all that does is show their motives for what they are, and it has the opposite effect. But they won't give up their control without a fight.

Doesn't matter though, this train has left the station, the brakes are off, and any attempt to stop it won't work no matter how destructive and appalling they are.

Cooperation and collaboration VS. Competition. When we compete someone survives. When we cooperate we all evolve.

And the propaganda of competition glorified.

But I think it will make a comeback especially with the young as they see the fruits of competitiveness unfold.

The cracks are getting wider, more light, more openings. More awakenings.

The mess is scary when you see what's been ignored and denied for generations. But you can't face it till you see it.

I like the statement that this isn't about ideology, it's about daily life. Fighting; repeated efforts to overcome real imbalance.

And when you feel it's impossible, the support and encouragement of Community. Choose wisely.

Let the American Spring last many years. It's going to be a long fight.

One important thing to note is that the movement is not about which politician should be elected. Most of our politicians of the last 35 years are merely stooges of the oligarchs, just as the Reagan "revolution" planned. This should be a revolution to oust the oligarchs from their positions of power. Once the oligarchs are overthrown, the politicians who serve them will have more time to spend with their families and will have to seek honest employment outside of Washington or the various state capitals. It is the oligarchs who have sought to destroy democracy and fuck over you and me and the planet we live on. They must not retain the wealth that they only pretend to have earned and use as a weapon against us.

Well, it kinda is. And Bernie is the ONLY one to get it started. No other politician today can say what he does. Not 1.

However, I'm not going to bet the farm on his winning. It's possible, but the smart money is on HRC right now for a reason; on June 7, 2007, the smart money was also on HRC for a reason.

Consider this also: even if Bernie moves into the White House on January 20, 2017, it is more than likely that the TPP will be an accomplished fact by that time and we have no reason to expect that he's going to undo it with the wave of a hand. Once the TPP and the two other vile trade deals pass Congress, it will require our (i.e., yours and mine, personally) non-cooperation with TPTB, which doesn't include anyone in government at any level, to put a stop to it. The struggle will make the Occupy Movement look like a walk in park. This time, no matter what happens, we cannot lose heart. Are you ready for that?

Yes, I see rays of light, but I also see deep shadows where up is down and right is wrong and this is being pushed hard by the oligarchs. Can these rays overcome in the deep darkness? I sincerely and fervently hope so!!!

Be prepared for increasing persecution, more inequality, more intrusions in your personal life, more oppression of workers' rights, less freedom of movement, expression and, would you believe, less representation in legislatures, fewer opportunities.

Be prepared for more 'Roman Circuses,' with the approval of your neighbors, more shiny toys to keep your mind off how you've been subverted over the last 35 years, less real education, more propaganda and fewer honest politicians and judges.

It'll be hard to remain pure in your purpose.

And you must guard every day against the 5th Columnists who'll infiltrate your movement and try to hi-jack it, oftentimes successfully.

Diogenes is still searching.

Good Luck!
