(11,175 posts)I understand the "pen(guin)" joke -- a cartoonist tips his pen instead of tipping his hat, and Sparky the penguin is a regular character in this strip. I don't get Jeet Heer. I'd never heard of him. A search reveals that he's a Canadian academic who writes about pop culture, including comics, but why is he being recognized in this context?

For example, in the course of Gamergate, doxxing was employed against some of the women game developers and some of their male allies.
