Its been really interesting, she says of the reaction to her pregnancy. I find it so humorous when the other side gets sort of knocked back on their heels when they see me.
Hogue, 45, took over the top spot at NARAL in February 2013. She is tasked with ushering the organization and the abortion rights movement into a new era of engagement that would galvanize younger supporters.

(16,399 posts)I used to think women who aborted hated children. Of course, I was nine at the time.

(65,616 posts)I think it all boils down to this - republicans hate it when women have choices; doesn't really matter what...just that they hate the idea of a women being free to make decisions.

(18,312 posts)any woman who wants an abortion for any reason at any time should be allowed to have one.
Save your hypotheticals 'But what if her water just broke and she wants an abortion then? huh?"
I am a medical professional. I live in the real world. Any woman, any abortion, any reason, any time, no questions. Ever.

(794 posts)Let us remember that "God" kills more embryos/fetuses/fertilized eggs every year than all medical/induced abortions added together throughout history.
In a round number, 40% of all conceptions result in a spontaneous abortion, i.e., "miscarriage".

(63,912 posts)Twins seem to be common in older women. I have a dtr in law who conceived after in vitro with two fertilized eggs, when she was nearing 40. One did not make it and the other is my delightful grandson...I don't care how she did it but that little boy looks so much like his daddy, my son, and it is a blessing.

If I believe in Freedom of Speech, I have to babble on continuously?
You're right, it is really too stupid for me to understand.

Stupid asses. Stuff like this exposes them completely.
So does watching the clinics after sunset when they sneak in, themselves.

(135,425 posts)The fact that she is having twins could mean she did in vitro...perhaps with her own (previously frozen?) or donor eggs. The eggs may be genetically younger than she is.
Of course, twins could run in her family, too.
Grannies have been known to carry their own grandkids when their daughters had difficulty carrying to term. A few hormones, an embryonic implant, and they're off to the races...older mothers have given birth without issue, and docs have gotten better at managing pregnancies in older women.
