He corrected me, saying he did not know where the question came from. I apologized immediately.
I want to apologize as well to all our listeners for having made an erroneous statement. I am sorry for the mistake. However, I am glad to play a role in putting this rumor to rest.

(30,099 posts)new guy on the political beat she knows nothing about? If you look at her past shows, she has had him on before,
and yet she only asks him now..this time. She accepts internet crap, well she needs to think about
that and more importantly so does NPR.

Unfathomable.

(68,868 posts)I think she took the attitude that Bernie was a bush-league candidate so she didn't need to act like a real journalist with him, just ask whatever because it's cool, it's only Bernie.

(30,099 posts)Bernie has been around forever, yet now he is running for president she asks him from
a dumb list.
That she could not figure that out by looking at it on her own is not the only problem, it is that she
believed it, used it and decided to do so without verify it.

The stupidity is just amazing.

It hit big on the site called Stormfront some time after whose members pushed the idea into the wild.

(45,274 posts)You were far too confident of your misinformation for it to have come from a Facebook comment, and you blew your own cover story when you first said you had a list and then attributed it to a Facebook source that you have neither identified nor produced in support of what appears to be a poorly constructed lie.
Your apology was disingenuous and did not suffice.

How can he call himself a Democrat with facts like that ?!

And, yeah, a Facebook comment is a great source for a nationally syndicated radio host. Just appalling.

But todays show, and that question, can only be seen as "are you secretly a jew?"

(14,177 posts)First off the question even if it is true is just flat out wrong. If someone has dual Canadian, French, British, or any other country it's not seen as being problematic at least I haven't seen that before (except among Conservatives who think anything not rah rah rah USA is an attack on patriotism), so why did she think this is a thing. That is the bigger problem right there, that she thought it was a thing to begin with.
