US spending $9M a day in ISIS fight

The U.S. has spent more than $2.74 billion or roughly $9.1 million per day in the fight against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the Pentagon revealed Thursday.

All that money yet the supposed guardians of gov't spending abrogate responsibility for acknowledging there's such military action. And bitch about Obama overraching. Hypocritical chickenhawks.

(46,416 posts)Obama doesn't want to wade back into Iraq (understandable, but it's his job to deal with this), and the MIC wants to prolong this effort by not really winning, but rather just being there, get increased defense spending by dropping bombs and now building "lily pads" (WTF?) Kind of like the last Iraq War--fart around and waste $$$$.
