If i recall correctly, Warren said she'd been told by her parents, when she was young that she had native american ancestry.

they are all politicians and there is that expediency thing and a decision about whether to go down a certain path. It's a risk. As private citizens, no one really cares. But once they hit the public spotlight, the microscopes come out.
