Criticism Of A Corporate DLC Third Way Candidate Is Entirely Appropriate.

Witness the most recent silence on TPA/TPP as the latest example of tacit corporate support.

Much more of the same can be offered reflecting the same dogged commitment not to the people but to the powerful.

Because their own opinion in so fucking important that it has to be said right then, right there. So do you show up uninvited to birthday parties just because it was held at the public park, and then snark all over the birthday girl because she enjoys the sugary treat called cake?

we need to make a better effort at civility on DU.

This is Hillary's day. Her supporters deserve to enjoy it without having to hear snarky comments.

And going ahead, I hope we can discuss this campaign without being mean-spirited.

On Sat Jun 13, 2015, 10:42 AM an alert was sent on the following post:

It Is A Tragedy That Some Find HRC A Compelling Candidate
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=6827284

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

It Is A Tragedy That Some Find themselves unable to avoid crapping on a positive thread, and I say this as a Bernie supporter. Hide for being inappropriate. They had a chance to edit, chose not to.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sat Jun 13, 2015, 10:45 AM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: This is a frivolous alert. Expressing an opinion about a candidate is what Democracy is supposed to be about. Just because a Bernie supporter said no one should do that as a courtesy doesn't make it mandatory or a violation of TOS.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: de minimis
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Why should it be edited? This person feels that way, and it's not disruptive… highly controversial perhaps, but not to the point of censuring opinion here.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: 100% agree with reasons for alert. The amount of Obama/Clinton/anyone not "pure" gutter sniping is contrary to the foundation of DU.
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: poster can surely support who they please, but calling out a large segment of DU while doing so? Ummm, no
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I choose not to crap on HRC threads today, but this is not against any rules.
