Half-term Alaskan governor and infrequent Facebook commentator Sarah Palin threw her two cents into the circus ring surrounding Rachel Dolezal, the white Spokane woman outed by her parents after passing as black for years.
In doing so, she took swipes at what she calls political correctness and linked to a Breitbart article confused about the entire left bursting into spasms of ecstasy over a collectively insane decision to ratify the notion that men can magically become women while then struggling to explain how a white woman who identifies herself as black is not, in fact, black.
{snip}
Ok, Im sorry. I shouldnt laugh this hard, Palin wrote Friday night on her Facebook page. I know this isnt a victimless crime, what this white chick perpetrated. But its a most crystal clear picture of so many screwed up things weve let society adopt as the norm.
{snip}
She called Dolezal an unsatisfied lily white leftist who thought the only thing less politically correct than being a white woman is being a white guy today.
{snip}
For some reason, Palin shifted halfway through and went on to brag about graduating from University of Idaho debt free, then rooted Go Vandals!

I have no comment other than "When the hell is this batshit crazy person going to realize her 15 minutes were up years ago and most people don't give a damn *WHAT* she thinks".
Hey, Sarah?? Half, if not more, of the people who follow you on Facebook and Twitter only do it so they can get a good laugh at your moronic, word salad ramblings. GO AWAY!!

(111,277 posts)However, somebody is keeping her spouting nonsense and that's where they live, especially in the upper midwest where her accent isn't quite as grating to their ears.
I'm glad Tennesseeans can see through her to the grifter underneath it all.

(14,912 posts)letters it says "Can't Stand Idiots", and another that says "I don't have an ANGER problem... I have an IDIOT problem!".
I *had* some "stupid friends", but I have worked hard to educate them. Most were just politically apathetic or unaware, and just voted republican because that's what their parents, grandparents, other friends, etc. did. There were a few that I couldn't get through to, so I just kind of phased them out over the years.
I'm *always* spouting out "I just do NOT understand how ANYONE around here who is on welfare, food stamps, disability, SSI, Tenn-Care or who are working poor could *EVER* vote for a republican who views them as undesirables and would take away their benefits in a heartbeat if they could"!
That has gotten the attention of many around here, as there are a LOT of people on welfare, food stamps, Tenn-Care and/or disability/SSI and living in Government housing.
I know I'm preaching to the choir here though, so I will step down from my soap box now.

(111,277 posts)I do that, too, and leave my lefty magazines in laundromats, where I know people are bored enough to read them.
It seems to be working. It's getting really hard to find a Republican in my part of town.

(32,342 posts)has been pushing this line "to ratify the notion that men can magically become women" in comparing the Rachael Dolezal situation to Caitlyn Jenner. It's very trans phobic.
VDARE, for those keeping score at home: http://www.splcenter.org/get-informed/intelligence-files/groups/VDARE
"Originally established in 1999 by the Center for American Unity, a Virginia-based nonprofit foundation started by English immigrant Peter Brimelow, VDARE.com is an anti-immigration hate website "dedicated to preserving our historical unity as Americans into the 21st Century." Now run by the VDARE Foundation, the site is a place where relatively intellectually inclined leaders of the anti-immigrant movement share their opinions. VDARE.com also regularly publishes articles by prominent white nationalists, race scientists and anti-Semites."

(14,912 posts)and it's still just a babbling brook. It may get louder/noisier when it floods from a storm, but it's still a babbling brook when all is said and done....
I will politely disagree with your analogy. You can't fault the blind woman, of course, but you CAN fault someone who has supposedly been higher educated but can't form a coherent sentence... kind of like GWB. I only have a high school education, but have a Master's Degree from the School of Hard Knocks, and I can form more eloquent speeches than both of them put together.

In a way, she is the perfect poster child for the know-nothing party the GOP has become since 1980.
