Ok, but these celebrities who changed their Twitter profile photos today definitely have more money than most of us. They are clearly into this for the 1%er tax breaks:

Mariah Carey

Look at all these filthy billionaires!

These make the best whine....
Scootaloo
(25,699 posts)it requires the right ingredients, needs to be properly molded and shaped, and allowed to age and curdle until it is pungent, yet delectable.
What you've got going on here is more like kraft singles. it's a cheeselike substance to be sure, but it's no Camembert.
MADem
(135,425 posts)But hey, you're kicking this thread full of beautiful pictures of a diverse slice of America on a wonderful day in NYC, and giving me an opportunity to do the same, so it's all good!
I'll await your next pithy kick...!
Scootaloo
(25,699 posts)I'm sorry that you're so angry, MAD. It's just that the "oh ho ho look at these billionairs!" thing is silly and trying too hard.
Go be grouchy somewhere else, stop ruining the nice pictures.
MADem
(135,425 posts)without saying a lotta bitter, angry, pointless nothing! Hell, pull out some "corporate" and some "banksters," too, while you're at it. May as well unload your cart all at once--no need to dribble it out ineffectively!
I guess the pouts aren't coming from the GOP, alone. But whatever--your words are yours, so go on and own 'em!!
I don't think I'm the one "ruining the nice pictures" but that's a game, if lame, attempt at deflection. Given your previous posts, which are not invisible and anyone can read, your commitment to that POV is questionable, to put it charitably.
You probably shouldn't go into any job that requires you to guage customer satisfaction--you sure can't "read" people at all!

Oh, what a positive DUer you are, with your kindly suggestions, making the site a place of positivity and enthusiasm! What an example you're setting for newcomers!
You should be very proud of yourself, indeed.....!

The remark, in the context of the photographs, was a lighthearted yet pointed response to that false assertion.

You'll be no doubt thrilled to see her walking through the crowd after the speech, stopping to talk with people, taking pictures with them, shaking hands, etc.
She spent quite a lot of time doing this. If you want still shots, Google has them. Here are a few to get you started:

MADem
(135,425 posts)So much for all those pledges to not shit on positive threads--this is just one of several today, but damn...bitter, bitter, bitter!!!
I really have to wonder what the deal is with some of poor Bernie's "supporters." In another thread a couple of 'em are defending that terrible essay he wrote, that he's ashamed of and distancing himself from. Hey, I'll give anyone a second chance, and believe him when he says it was "dumb" and "stupid" and doesn't reflect his views today, but his "supporters" aren't helping him when they don't go along with HIS stated comments! Instead of saying "Yes, it doesn't reflect his views" they're trying to insist that there's nothing wrong with the essay.
SMH!! I really do wonder, sometimes....
I feel sorry for the sincere people who are trying to maintain a positive attitude--they're being drowned out by some negative, not-too-bright disruptors who aren't even clever.

(53,661 posts)Today I had lettuce, tomato and avocado. They were on sale as they were past date in my local store. Several pounds for just one dollar, but they have to be used fast. What a luxury it is to have such things when one can get them.
I've also had apples, celery, pecans and tuna on lettuce when I can get them free or cheap. apples fall off trees and roll down the city streets, haha!
The world is alive with good things!
MADem
(135,425 posts)and pecans, and mixed greens and herbs, and some dried cranberries, a bit of chopped apple, with some kinda dressing with some nice complex notes....and damn, it was good!
I am a sucker for avocado--it's got something in it that just DEMANDS that I eat it!!! I jump on those sales too--those little things can get pricey!
freshwest
(53,661 posts)I don't go for any ot the fancy apples. If you can get fresh harvested red Delicious apples (once a year before they start to refrigerate them for months and they get mealy) you can smell the frangrance of the apple blossoms still on the counter.
It's hard doing meal planning for long time, just have to go with whatever I am given or is super cheap. Just about quit with all of it.
I'm sure the salad was great on a sunny warm day like you guys are having there. Sunny cool days here, very pretty but I'm allergic to everything now. I do count my blessings, anyway. It gives me strength to go on.
Life is good no matter how it goes. Have a real hankering to move because of the cost of housing is getting far too much for me and no end in sight. But When I look at my finances and say, 'Oh, woe is me, this isn't going to work,' I know we need a Democrat in the White House to stop the GOP's nefarious schemes for next year.
Anyone who won't vote Democrat is condemning many to lives of suffering and brutal deaths, but it's easy for them to say, theyr'e unaffected. They are not my allies.

(95,337 posts)makes any of us want to support the other candidate? I came here to enjoy Hillary photos just like I do with the other rally photos. Yet it seems that when some posts about a positive day for Hillary it is garenteed to see crap posts like this.
I'd rather deal with the negative crap for the general election because I know it will be bad. But this infighting - not productive. Both sides need to knock it off.

I took one of those which candidate matches your views quizes and got Bernie 85% and Hillary 75%. And then a big gap before any repubs matched. I think we are fortunate that Dems have better quality candidates than the crowded clown car on the other side.
