Best of the GOP field?

Who is the most tolerable of the GOP field, in your opinion? Perhaps if they changed their views on a few key issues, you could see yourself supporting them?

For me, it's Rand Paul. I really respect his views against the Patriot Act, although I could never support him because of several issues, especially social issues.

I can't see myself supporting any of them because their ideas are insane and destructive. Paul may have been on the right side of the Patriot Act issue but otherwise he's just as odious as the rest of them.

He is about the only Republican I listen to when he makes an appearance on cable. He is probably too smart to run, and he also senses the king makers of the party would block every move he made to build a base.

I used to think Lincoln Chafee when he was a Republican was an incredibly reasonable person. I did not know until I researched his background when he announced as a Democrat his bid for the Presidency many of the things mentioned in the article at the link below. It describes him as the last liberal Republican. I liked him then, and I kind of like him now:

In case you do not have the time to read the article, perhaps you would like to know as a Republican, he opposed Bush* going into Iraq, supported abortion, same sex marriage and increasing taxes on the wealthy.

He's trying to bring back civics and getting people to work with each other in their own backyards. He's welcome in my home anytime.

Libertarians and anarchists can be brilliant but lack street sence ,think of the world as a big street .

In my opinion Walker and Rubio. Both of them are younger
than the old guard and two of our Dem candidates.
Walker has the support ( or is the puppet ) of the Koch
brothers, and Rubio has the necessary hispanic vote
behind him.

Needless to say, I detest both, but I consider them
the most dangerous contestants after 8 years of a
Dem. WH.

Rand Paul will be booted out by the repugs, if he
has not lost their support already.

I just posted something about Paul saying something about the warlike speech HC made today, whereas the other Republican candidates will try to outdo her in military adventures...
