Naw! Doesn't pass the smell test.
President Ted Cruz? Nope!
President Marco Rubio? No way!
President Chris Christie? Huh-uh.
President Rick Perry? Forget about it!
President Santorum? Huckabee? Jindal? Pataki? Trump? Fiorina? President Ben Carson? All losers.
After all the dust settles, the Republicans will probably settle on either Jeb Bush, Rand Paul, John Kasich, or Scott Walker. None of them are especially impressive.
It is much easier to envision a President Clinton, or a President Sanders, or a President O'Malley, in my humble opinion.

(19,460 posts)I am thinking Rubio, Bush or Walker are the top 3. Not one of them can beat Hillary is a general election. Rand Paul comes the closest to her and he doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting the GOP nomination. I eve look for Hillary to take my State of Kentucky in the general and Kentucky is as red as you can get. She is wildly popular here and Bill took Kentucky way back when.

(22,165 posts)I can HAPPILY embrace any of the Democratic Party candidates ... I like them all ... My "enemy" is the Koch brothers, the Tea Party lunatics and the rest of the GOP clown car.
I have nothing bad to say about any of the Democratic candidates. I will work and fight for the Democratic party candidate (and am staying away from any nastiness surrounding any of them during the primaries)
