I urge you to take advantage of this election season if you can

Not everyone easily can. But I realized a few years ago, I was uniquely situated (along with a few million others across various states). My home state (currently) is New Hampshire, and it's very easy to hook up - if only to ask a question and shake a hand - with a presidential candidate. If I lived in a half-zillion other places (San Diego, Houston, Fargo, NYC, Newark, etc.) that'd never be possible. So, having really realized this the last election cycle or so I've made it a point to go to at least one event for each candidate I'm interested in (I am not wasting my time on Rick Santorum, but apparently, no one else is either).

I'm in a handful of unique states that get this attention. Vermont, my home state, is right next door, but it gets no presidential attention (except for Bernie, who's from there and was my mayor when I lived in BTV - go Bernie!). Most people don't have this opportunity, I realized, so it seems silly to squander it.

I'm not getting off my butt to see, say, Lindsay Graham, but I look forward to another Hillary Rally (still have the chocolate bar from the first time around), or Bernie again, or whoever on my "side".

Regardless of your political affiliation (which I presume to be either Democratic or Independent, otherwise you wouldn't be on this board) try and get out if it affords you the chance. Just the media circus and mechanics are entertainment enough.

Think D (or at least I).
