So what actually, or even supposedly, happened with this new Snowden thing.

The Sunday Times reports that China and Russia have stolen and decrypted the files he had. I'm curious what this actually means. Where were the files being stored? Who had them? Who encrypted them? What did Russia and China have to do to steal and decrypt them?

I was under the impression that Snowden handed over the files to the Guardian and a few other news outlets. Does this mean that the Guardian got hacked? That they used a poor encryption algorithm to secure the files?

On the heels of getting all the top secret applications hacked. It's embarrassing for the PTB and they need to change the programming on the boob tube.

I'll go with my theory.

"Snowden files got stolen and hacked" doesn't give much information about what supposedly happened.

But it does give the usual suspect the license to hurl vitriol at one of the greatest whistleblowers of our era.

American Dissident Edward Snowden.

On the heels of him making congress pay attention and own up to the NSA spying do you not expect the long knives to come out.

That is the folly of believing state propaganda. Believers show themselves increasingly foolish. Dangerously foolish.

Even the people at the Guardian might not know all that he had. The guy that stole thousands of classified pieces of information might not be honest. The people with the need to know, can't for obvious reasons tell anyone legally. What information did he really give China and Russia? Won't know unless there's a trial and even then we may never know. We only hear what Snowden and Russia wants us to hear. He's pretty much like everyone else in the spy game. When he tells me something I want to know, he's a saint. When they make innuendo he revealed things we don't want Russia to know, he's a sinner. By the time all the information becomes declassified we might all be dead... I've kind of always waited on final judgement on the guy until the shit all comes out by freedom of information. Until then I assume only a mushroom grows in the dark.
