If you're Pepsico, maybe you need and/or want the same logo on your entire beverage line, your Fritos, etc., so everyone knows they're all your products. What purpose does a corporate logo serve for a human being, though?

It's true. The candidates are sold like products, and a logo is useful in providing a consistent identity across all the various advertising platforms -- TV, websites, bumper stickers, yard signs and so on.
