Second of all, MY GIRL RACHEL? No. No. No. She was maybe, by default, my people until her parents outed her as you people. (Yup, I said, you people.) We have officially changed the locks at the front entrance to the Black People Meeting. She can keep her Race Key Card as a souvenir, but it wont work no more.
OK. I have a bunch of thoughts too, but first Im going to go do my due diligence and actually read some of the now many, many articles about Ms. Dolezal
Whew! I just did a quick, deep dive into The Washington Post, Huffington Post, The Guardian, CNN, The New York Times, Twitter, The Root, Colorlines, local Spokane television, Twitter, and my own Facebook page. And my conclusion is this is way deeper than black and white. Black and white is just the appetizer here. Something is going on with her and her family, and we should all just step back and let them handle it. (Of course I secretly hope part of them handling it involves them filming it and airing it on the E Network or worst-case scenario, TLC).

vibrant culture that you want to be a part of it. But she went about it the wrong way. Good that she resigned.

Something is going on with her and her PSYCHE, and she should just step into a psychologist's office and let him handle it.

with all of the hate crimes aimed at herself.
I think they are all going to need therapy. Is it any wonder that one of her other brothers claims she has made her little brother hate white people?

(3,212 posts)5. She does, indeed, have a son with her ex
I did remember correctly. She has a son, Franklin, with her ex, and she does refer to them both as her sons. Since she did have legal custody of her brother, this is one area where I don't see a reason to challenge her reasons for calling him her son.
Are you wincing because you wrongly attacking me for such an innocuous statement?
