public on Friday? I believe it opens at around $35. Just curious, was thinking about putting a few bucks there for a while and see how it plays out.

(9,213 posts)I've gotten into all of the recent big IPO's lately at or near their opening price and then have sold later in the day for big $$$
Put in a limit order for like $40 and then cross your fingers. If it shoots up to $50 or so, put in $55. You just have to keep watching over the first few hours and then trying to *hit* that magic number where you're accepted. Should easily get over $80 in the first day and probably even all through next week.
It's not really a stock for the long term portfolio, but should be a nice play for the next year or so if you can get in at a reasonable price. But if Facebook keeps missing earnings estimates, the price could drop like a rock quickly so keep an eye on it.
