Bernie Sanders will turn 75 two months before the general election

(allow that to sink in for a second) which will make him THE oldest person ever to become President of the United States. This is not a
knock at his age or at Bernie so do not go on the defence, but the fact still remains he will become the oldest President if elected.

This is not about Bernie being an avid spokes person for the middle-class and poor across America. This is about who I feel will have the best chance of winning and surviving the onslaught that will come from the right and their ally the media, as they will use each and every thing to their advantage to ensure a republican presidency, since I don't want another Bush in the White House, I will wholeheartedly vote for the person that gives us the best chance of winning. A lot is at stake if we get it wrong, I remember how sick I felt the following morning on November 3rd 2004 waking up to find George W. Bush still the President of United States. Since I'm not prepared to go through that malarkey again, I've decided to stand with the one person I believe has the better chance of winning the general election.

I have to admit this election cycle non of the candidates excites or to borrow a phrase ( send a shiver up your leg) , but this suits the republicans more than it does for the democrats because the democrats thrives on younger voters and minority, if the GOP can prevent the younger generations from voting, you can bet your bottom dollar they will do whatever it takes to make sure it happens.It means they will have achieve one of their main goals which is to stop all young voters from excising their rights, it gives them room to undertake their their shenanigans.

It is for this very reason that I believe Hillary Clinton has what it takes to terminate any form of threat that the GOP will use against thee dems and that is the Clinton machine.

I've seen many on DU posting about how Hillary is not liberal enough, that may be true, but people change just as candidates change. An example will be Gov. Terry of Virginia. In 2007 he was the butt of all sort of jokes on DU, but look at him today, there is no member on this board that cannot say they're not proud of the work he is doing in Virginia. I believe strongly that Hillary will surprise a lot of people once she becomes the President, besides America is one of two super power that I can think of that has not gotten a woman as President. ( I'm sure someone will correct me on this)
