I knew it. Trump's run is a publicity scam.

Trump has 30 days after an announcement to file a listing of his assets—and liabilities—with the Federal Election Commission. He can seek two 45-day extensions, and those are granted routinely. That means it will be mid-October before Trump reaches the put-up or shut-up moment on giving the public a peek at his personal finances.

Deep down he probably believes he's the only one that can "fix the country".

My suspicion is he'll stay in long enough to get in a debate or two and try to figure out if he is building any kind of momentum.

If not he punts, and has gotten a lot of free promotion for the Trump brand in the process.

He can't lose, in many ways.
