Since 2001 it has been illegal for businesses offering goods, services, entertainment to discriminate against people based on their sexual orientation in Maryland, noted The Washington Post.
Lampiris, who said he has lived in Montgomery County for 30 years, claimed he has never heard of the anti-discrimination law, and added:
"But its important for us to make a stand. We dont want to go against the law, but we also sometimes are called to do that if it goes against your faith. To me it would be like a synagogue having to cater to a neo-Nazi party or black DJ having to do a KKK dance.
