I ask.
But please, vociferously go after all the clowns in the car, and there are many.

(19,564 posts)I'm not tearing down any potential Democratic nominee.
Well, unless they do something totally heinous like cheat on their wife dying of cancer. Then you're on your own! I do have my exceptions to my credo.

(18,421 posts)Up until the race became competitive we endured volley after volley of "presumptive nominee" this and "radical leftist" that, and now that the polls are tightening up... The rules change?
Give me a break.

(9,359 posts)Some national polls show Bernie making gains and nearly tripling his support.
I do warn both camps, it's way too early to worry about position polls. Wait until after the first debate or 6 weeks from the first primaries. Those are realistic numbers.

(37,748 posts)It is certainly convenient to pretend a benign and informal request for civility towards the candidates is equivalent to "changing the rules."
Granted, it's not predicated on the reality of the request, but to rationalize one's vulgarity towards a democratic candidate, I suppose the myopic have to re-color pretty much anything that doesn't validate their biases to better maintain their own personal narratives of that same reality.
Give me a break, part two.

You're attempts to mock me are really ridiculous.

(24,565 posts)of excellent candidates. Anyone trashing one of our candidates needs to spend a "time-out" in the clown car to see what the alternatives are.

(12,867 posts)If that kind of criticism is off limits, then a discussion board has no value in the critically important selection of Democratic candidates.

(6,930 posts)I do not understand the nastiness of either side here on the DU. It really says more about those posters than it does about the candidates.
As a relative newbie, I have begun already to recognize those posters who seem to love to be mean-spirited and hateful. I think it is sad. I cannot help but wonder if they are this way in their personal lives as well. Always looking for a fight.
