the storyline is about the search for answers.

I don't know where it's going, and I don't much like giving credence to some mystical charlatan, but I do like the concept.

Ever since we've achieved sentience we've wondered if there's something else out there, or beyond life. Why not throw a few billion out there to find out for sure?

No proof, but a little more evidence than there is of unicorns, so keep looking until we know.

and reincarnation and it scares me. the thought of coming back -- going through life again and again. i'd rather it just ended with death, but i've had too many experiences that tell me different.
