Steve Schmidt on Lawrence O last night.thinks the Trade Promotion Authority Agreement will go down

Steve Schmidt, the Republican who is often a guest with Lawrence O'Donnell, was on last night and they were talking about Trump.

At about 9:40 in the video, he said that Trump tapped into what everyday Americans are shouting at the TV every night, that's he taps a vein, the populist energy in both parties manifesting itself in things like the like the Import-Export Bank, the Trade Promotion Authority Agreement that "I think will surely be going down....."

That caught my ear as the deal is not dead right now...right? What is he hearing?

to put Sarah Palin's finger one inch from the nuclear button.

And if Americans are identifying with Trump, they are stupid.

But I am curious about this too, as to the TPP...

Based on the book, which I didn't read...essentially you know Schmidt was the sourse for the entire part of the book on Palin and basically he's trying to cover his ass for his failure in giving the campaign the ok to put her on the ticket.

When it is signed and given to Congress to approve, Congress should demand their right to make changes.

has had trade promotional authority. Why should we continue to negotiate this way?

If countries are not comfortable with negotiating with 535 people, they can set their trade agreements with China and other countries. We don't need to trade with them.

If you watch Game Change he loathed Palin and convinced McCain not to let her go native on Obama...

I was disappointed in his discussion of Trump...He completely whitewashed the racist parts of his speech...If Trump would have stuck to how great he is, how he can fix everything with the snap of his fingers, and cutting down his opponents, he would have been funny.

whether he really files the paperwork for running by the deadline and his effect on the GOP field in the meantime.

Let's see if Lawrence gets to the "substance" another day....Lawrence is pretty good at getting into the weeds on things...
