Was talking in another post about the SCOTUS saying that denying sons of confederacy vanity plates is not an infringement on 1st amendment rights , and how that's a small victory. Somebody said it did not matter because they would just put bumped stickers up. Except it does matter because it isn't endorsed by the state of Texas. Hopefully soon that flag will come down from the SC Capitol.

It was so long ago, it was probably on DU2, but the best response to that "argument" I ever saw was a poster who said in effect, "Heritage, huh? Well, my great-great-grandfather was a member of the 133rd Indiana Irregulars, and it's my heritage to shoot any rebel sumbitch flying that traitorous flag. Now, hold still while I celebrate my heritage." The actual lineage and military outfit are probably wrong, but you get the gist.

I just want to be sure that yours and left of wests comments aren't directed at me personally. I'm tired, and the last 2-3 times this issue pops up, people see my screen name and immediately think my screen name is pro stars & bars or something, but its most definitely not. It's in regards to government & religion.
