As I keep saying, the more I hear, the more I like. He needs to be heard.

bigtree
(86,002 posts)...he is the real deal.
On foreign policy, and other issues related to national security (issues which we both share an intense concern), he's a relative unknown, with an initial call for cooperative efforts between nations, but, an establishment type of response on some aspects which seems to rely on mainstream reliance on existing levers of U.S. power and assumed authority. I'm looking closely and hoping from something in that area from him which reflects his progressiveness on other issues.
Sen. Sanders, btw, has been more than clear in his progressiveness on national security, although, admittedly, he has had much more opportunity to weigh in and legislate on that issue.
Still, what we've seen from O'Malley on immigration, for instance, reflects a sincere respect for humanity which I believe should come through in his foreign policy. He was also an early and vocal opponent of the Iraq war.
