Does opposing the TPA mean I'm Hitler?

Someone actually said just that, verbatim, on another thread.

The reasoning went, if you oppose the TPA, you want poor people to suffer because you are robbing them of the chance to make a better wage and therefore, you are Hitler.

If the logic holds, what does that logic imply about stateside enterprises which pay minimum wage or less?

One, I will question the person who referred to you as Hitler. Second, I will happily alert someone calling other progressives Hitler, even if you don't wish it to be. Third, we can get this post that is simply talking about another duer out of here.

of corporate talking points. In the real world though, the TPP they push is actually a form of Fascism. I doubt they even know or care. They have their marching orders from their repuke/Wall Street front groups, and they keep throwing the feces on the wall hoping some of it sticks.

“Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power”

There is an element of America First, and screw trade with foreign countries, in SOME of the opposition I find disturbing.

countries. I doubt we would have any problem with the TPP if it just consisted of things like tariffs and trade between countries. But - it gives corporations reign over signatory countries. That is just wrong. Those poor Vietnamese farmers you love to try and guilt-trip with will be hurt just as much as American workers.

I wouldn't get worked up over it. In the slightest. I mean, you aren't really asking a question here in honest. Just as their reply wasn't in honest. I find it hard to believe you are asking if your are Hitler. This is a callout. They still showed their colors on that one.

I don't even know where to start with that! TPA is anti-Democracy. It was created by Nixon to bypass the Democratic process in congress....And trade deals like the TPP only guarantee lower wages for every country involved. The misinformation on this is astounding.

Reductio ad Hitlerum as a result of Godwin's Law

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin%27s_law
Godwin's Law (or Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies)[1][2] is an Internet adage asserting that "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1"[2][3]— that is, if an online discussion (regardless of topic or scope) goes on long enough, sooner or later someone will compare someone or something to Hitler or Nazism.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reductio_ad_Hitlerum
Reductio ad Hitlerum, also argumentum ad Hitlerum (Latin for "reduction to Hitler", with Hitlerus serving as a Latinized form of Hitler's name), is a term coined by philosopher Leo Strauss in 1951.[1] According to Strauss, the Reductio ad Hitlerum is a humorous observation where someone compares an opponent's views with those that would be held by Adolf Hitler or the Nazi Party.

According to Strauss, Reductio ad Hitlerum is a form of ad hominem or ad misericordiam, a fallacy of irrelevance, in which a conclusion is suggested based solely on something's or someone's origin rather than its current meaning.[citation needed] The suggested rationale is one of guilt by association. Its name is a variation on the term reductio ad absurdum.

Reductio ad Hitlerum is sometimes called "playing the Nazi card." According to its critics and proponents, it is a tactic often used to derail arguments, because such comparisons tend to distract and anger the opponent.[2]
