The Pope’s advice to trans people? ‘Accept the body God gave you’

Sorry, Pope lovers.

http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2015/06/19/the-popes-advice-to-trans-people-accept-the-body-god-gave-you/

The Pope has given some advice to transgender people – that they should just accept the body that came as “God’s gift”....

He wrote: “The acceptance of our bodies as God’s gift is vital for welcoming and accepting the entire world as a gift from the Father and our common home,” the Pope wrote.

The Pope also attacked gender theory, suggesting that trans people are actually just struggling with same-sex attraction.

“For example, I ask myself, if the so-called gender theory is not, at the same time, an expression of frustration and resignation, which seeks to cancel out sexual difference because it no longer knows how to confront it … the removal of difference in fact creates a problem, not a solution.”

"Accept the body that came as 'God's gift'"? Does that mean he's against piercings? Tattoos? Plastic surgery?

Oh well, he's still an upgrade from Ratz. Not that that's the least bit difficult.

... is surprising for a guy who accepts science generally.

About half a percent of the population is born with ambiguous genitals. Coin toss on which gender they are. Doctors used to assign a gender at birth, based on their evaluation of the structures the kid was born with.

That's roughly 1.6 million Americans.

And that only counts the people with ambiguous genitals...not the people whose brain/hormone gender is ambiguous.

He needs to work on that but I give him credit for his stance on climate change.

He doesn't know a transgender person may be attracted to people of either sex or both sexes, just like non-transgender people.

The world will end tomorrow and his followers should commit suicide to avoid the terror of god's wrath. We'll see who the "true" believers are, and we would get rid of this clown and their circus.

and saying one thing one week and another thing the next week, depending on which group he is talking to at the time. That is incredibly two faced. He is leading people of the left on who want to believe he is great and sending dog whistles to extremists on the right, simultaneously. I'm surprised I'm the only one that has his number on exactly what he is doing. He talks out of both sides of his mouth. I never trust anyone who does that. I can't believe more people have not noticed him doing it. He does it all the time.
