I'm from SC and if you grew up in the South when I did, the flag was prevalent. I was fortunate to have progressive parents who taught me not to be prejudiced. Unfortunately, not everyone felt that way.

The Civil War will always be a part of the history of the United States, but it should not be part of present day life. The president is correct, the flag belongs in a museum.

When does the loser of a war get to hang its flag on the state capitol?

keep the pressure on. When do we stand up for what is right? Don't we expect this as the least from our politicians?
