If you are planning to send you kids to school in Texas, ya better see this.

From the superbly gifted Juanita Jean Herself:

We always kinda knew why Governor Rick Perry wasn’t big on education. After all, he was not burden with intellectual curiosity.

But apparently Governor Greg Abbott hates, hates, hates education.

He just named the new State Board of Education Chairman. Her name is Donna Bahorich and she home schooled her kids. That wouldn’t be so terribly weird if the State Board of Education didn’t approve curriculum and textbooks for public schools.

It also is kinda weird that Bahorich didn’t get the job because of her expertise in education. She’s a political hack, plain, simple, and worthless.

She was the campaign manager for Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, a man who is so mean that flowers wilt when he walks by.

On Bahorich’s own website, all of her volunteer work and Awards are rightwing political.

No teaching experience...was not confirmed the first 4 years Martinez was in office, but still engineered policy anyway!
Now confirmed after Martinez was re-elected...The Dems didn't give any support to Gary King, who had been Attorney General, and who comes from an old political line here....his father was once governor... I met him once while doing campaign work on another election years ago....

When I saw her arrive, I knew NM was being targeted as the next GOP takeover. This has always been a blue or purple state.

But recently, we have been infiltrated by KOCH operatives who recently launched a campaign to dislodge 3 re-elected town council members who were just re-elected because they were "too progressive." The recall failed...it was revealed that signatures were being collected by paid out of towners, who LIED about the nature of the petition...it was NOT about the Boys and Girls Club, for example!!

It reminds me of the recall efforts in CO mounted against the pro-gun control state legislators who were successfully driven from office after the had been elected! SAME SCRIPT!

And they still are hankering for a fight, these 7 business people not from the area. This all started it seems to me after our Organ Mountains were designated as a National Monument....they want GROWTH at any cost, even without water...

"we" don't seem to get that we are in a crisis situation which calls for serious block by block old fashioned organization and communication.
All the more sad given that there exists even better means of communication now than in decades past when I worked as a community organizer for an entire state!
