Is there a more destructive demographic than financially obsessed money hoarders?

Last edited Tue Jun 23, 2015, 05:42 PM - Edit history (1)

Of all the demographics I think of when considering the Democratic field this primary season, a wealth status among a fraction of the top 1% and a drive for even more money when one has several lifetimes of net worth is - for me - a deal breaker.

Yes, I am a wealthist. Yes, I participate in wealthism. No, it isn't sane and it isn't nice, but I have had it with the wealthsplainers telling me "it will get better for you when it gets better for us." I am sorry. I won't vote for a money grubber. I am a wealthist.

I too am a sharer and cannot fathom hoarding, but I would like to refer to myself in the positive rather than the negative. Thanks!

That relies on a healthy degree of wealth circulation in order to function properly.

Hoarding massive amounts of that wealth endangers livelihoods and restricts upward mobility.

Austerity only exacerbates an already weak economy.

It's time to reverse the upward redistribution of wealth. Only government can do that.

*the crowd roars in agreement!!*

I think that money-hoarders - people who have acquired great wealth for the sake of wealth - have long been the greatest threat to civilization, freedom, egalitarianism, and the benefits of coordinated society. I won't vote for a money-grubber. I am finished with that nonsense. They are arbiters of privilege and will boil that privilege down to its essence - the barrel of a gun - when necessary. No. Non serviam.

When asked one time, "How much money was enough?", he replied "One more dollar."

That told me all I need to know about these people.
