Bristol Palin Reveals She's Pregnant With Second Child: "I Do Not Want Any Lectures"

Bristol was due to marry Marine Dakota Meyer in late May but canceled her Memorial Day weekend wedding about a week before. "I know God's plan is greater than anything else," she wrote at the time, "and Tripp and I are in Alaska beginning to rebuild our lives under much different circumstances than we anticipated."

Those circumstances now include the Dancing With the Stars alum's pregnancy. "Life moves on no matter what. So no matter how you feel, you get up, get dressed, show up, and never give up," she blogged on June 25. "When life gets tough, there is no other option but to get tougher."

Bristol also preemptively addressed her critics in the post, writing, "I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you. But please respect Tripp's and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy."

Apparently she still does not know what safe sex it.

That family is a mess. There is still doubt that Caribou Barbie's baby during the '08 election was really hers.

It's a failed, poisonous and unrealistic philosophy and she should recognize that she has become the poster child for it's failure and come clean and admit that freely available birth control is a much more sound policy.

It's just a shame she feels she can't own it publicly, that she has to talk about her screwed up family and their disappointment in her fertility and need for a sex life.

members of the Palin family. What gains her no sympathy from most people is the sheer hyprocricy on the subject of sex education and premarital sex. Bristol Palin is a good example why the children of the exreme conservative base routinely face unwed parenthood.

One pregnancy can be chalked up to an oops by a pair of teens. A second pregnancy shows that a couple who are grown up acted in a foolish and irresponsible manner. Pregnacy is not necessarily the only outcome of unsafe sex.

It is completely fair to criticize her for that philosophy.

As I Do mentality.

An example of why Republicans should just stay out of the subject of sex education and birth control.

...by her public advocacy. So she does not get to hide behind "It's my personal life and it's none of your business". That only works for people who actually treat their own personal life as personal. She does not. Everything that family does is done publicly and shoved in all of our faces. So I for one will happily enjoy the sensation of schadenfreude from this latest Palinesque-apade.

If you don't want any lectures yourself, then stop dishing out lectures to everyone else.

IOW, as long as you continue to dish it out, be prepared to take it.

It's really that simple.
