I hope that today doesn't become the GOP's new Roe vs Wade...

...that is, a rallying cry for reaction, a new target for their hate of "activist" judges, and something that they will never accept, and campaign against forever. One would hope that they'd have their tantrums, and essentially move on. The country is moving against them on this issue. But their bigotry knows no bounds, and like "Roe", this issue runs up against the sexual obsessions of fundamentalists and right-wing Catholics. Today's decision might be the beginning of the controversy, and not its end...

that's why they've been working so hard against women's' reproductive rights--they see end runs around that. Meanwhile, the only fight against marriage equality that they can wage is denying marriage for everyone. I don't see that happening.

and, guess what, it's not only the law of the land, it was used in the decision by the Supreme Court today.

Hateful homophobes can go suck eggs just like the racists had to do after Loving v Virginia.

The ones for whom this is a major issue are a minority, even in the GOP. The change has been remarkable in so short a time.

Shockingly fast. I think it was just easy for them to work through the equality part of the equation.

I don't live my life worrying about what conservatives hate - they hate everything and everybody ...

I reject the contention that we need to worry about it ...
