To be a little serious, I believe that the implications of Obergefell

are WAY more far-reaching than gay marriage.

There are implications for gender discrimination and of course, church/state separation.

to the same extent that they respect US opposite-sex marriages. That's another issue that will, I think, help bring places in the middle east into the modern world.
