Republicans plot strategy to repeal ObamaCare

By Alexander Bolton and Peter Sullivan

Republicans in Congress are moving toward a plan to use a special budgetary process to repeal ObamaCare, after the Supreme Court ruled for a second time to uphold the controversial law.

Since last years elections, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has proposed using budget reconciliation to repeal large chunks of the law.

The procedure would allow Republicans to pass a repeal package through the upper chamber with a simple majority vote, bypassing the 60-vote threshold usually required for major bills. The gambit is less relevant in the House, where the GOP holds a sizable majority and the minority party has fewer rights.

Apparently, racism isn't the only thing Repubs have in common with some in the South -- they can't admit when they've lost.

This is what they do to OSHA and EPA. Take away the money so they can't do the job.

That is the solution to this madness. We must elect a Democrat as President in 2016 and have an enormous turnout to retake the Senate and make progress in the House.

Nothing is more important for our future than this!

this is unfunding major portions through budget processes... they don't need the 60 votes to close debate... they can do this without a single Democratic Party vote...

was used to pass it. as soon as congress came back into the hands of the republicans they would see this as a method to undo what had been done... and now it looks like that is the path they will take.
