that the declining working and middle class followers who believe in the hate and division of RW propaganda don't understand that and probably never will.

Obama is a pragmatist, and has to deal with an America that is truly controlled by the corporatists. In that context, he does as much as he can within that box.

Wall fell what we saw behind it was a country that was very poor, very weak and in chaos. But oh, watch out they were going to destroy us. I have always distrusted the propaganda they sold us in the cold war and am very leery about this scare tactic to.

China has contracts with most countries in the east already. Only yesterday there was an article regarding nukes and China was calling for a no nuke east. Another thing when North Korea starts in on its usual threats we often trust China to help us shut them down.

I do not see how making multi-national corporations more powerful will be good for any nation on this earth. And that is the goal of everything I have seen about the TPP so far.

will do their utmost to get the best bill with the most protections that can be negotiated.

Some involved I definitely would not trust to craft the bill on their own. I want us to be there to represent the competing interests - labor and environment. Without us there imagine what positions China would take AND manage to bully other nations into accepting.

enough to be the bully. But our corporations do a pretty good job of bullying those small countries as well. There need to be a lot of protections for both our workers and those small countries in that treaty before I am going to like it.

for Wall Street and their corporate investment partners, not what is best for the 99%. Wall Street loans those executives to government agencies for 2-4 years for two reasons......more money and more power.

are representing the interests of labor and environment - something we would NOT have had from China writing the pact or from a Republican president.

Now you can disagree with me all you want, but, there is no way on earth I will believe anyone claiming that China or a Republican president would have gotten a better deal than Dems did for labor and environment.

Talking Poppy George Herbert Walker Bush, courtesy of Hill & Knowlton, back in 1991:

The Kuwait ambassador's daughter, committing perjury on behalf of the administration as she tells the US Congress she was a nurse at a Kuwaiti City hospital who saw the Iraqi soldiers take babies from their incubators and leave them on the cold, hard floor so they could steal the incubators for babes in Baghdad.

"If I wanted to lie, or if we wanted to lie, if we wanted to exaggerate, I wouldn't use my daughter to do so. I could easily buy other people to do it." -- Kuwait Ambassador

So. Who else did he buy?

... by the PTB to keep us from reflecting on the crap that will happen with the TPA being passed now.

I just now noticed the local media was quick here locally to note that Senator Wyden is praising these decisions as shown here:

http://www.finance.senate.gov/newsroom/ranking/release/?id=d0e0e050-843f-43d9-8d2b-9ea9537b4c54

http://www.finance.senate.gov/newsroom/ranking/release/?id=afa12f18-9fb7-43cf-85a9-9ff42764c930

Government sites like this and the media don't seem to want to talk as much about how Senator Merkley feels about these issues. Hmm.... Especially when Wyden himself, like Obama has received a lot of heat on his Fast Track votes too.

I want to come out and say though that I am so happy for those helped by these court decisions. It IS a great day to see those decisions happen! If those are two good things that were enabled to happen by the PTB pushing the TPA on us, then I'm thankful for that outcome to happen too. But I also WILL NOT be distracted by the very horrible decision by the congress and Obama's pushing of the TPA bill. And if I see things that seem suspicious in terms of how these events are timed, I will note that here to look at more carefully.

I would like to think that the thoughtful of us here will still NOT forget what has been done in terms of the TPA and will still resolve to find ways to fight it in the coming weeks, months, and even years!

from the 08 collapse, Obama has always listened to the wrong people. Those entrenched in the system. Wall Street has his ear and he defers to their opinions.
Summers and Geithner over Warren, Krugman and Steglitz.
