A friend of mine brought something to my attention regarding today's marriage equality ruling.

Lawrence v Texas the case that declared sodomy laws unconditional U.S. v Windsor the DOMA case and the Obergfell v Hodges marriage equality case were all released on June 26.


Ponder that for a moment and consider the odds of that happening.

I think one of the justices (my money's on Ruth) wanted the ruling to be announced today for a hat trick.

Not only did he author the ruling, but I think he appreciates the historical significance.
