I am guessing that as soon as the opinion came down, the door opened and everyone was ready!

I love the top left picture of the two elderly gentlemen. Bless them...I bet they have waited years for this!

I started clapping and cheering, too! That sent my Scottie running and barking. So, here in SoCal, we are celebrating that wedding, too!

That was sooooooooo very touching! Thanks again for the link!

...they have been together almost 55 years. Can you imagine that if they had been allowed to marry way back when, they would have already have had a 50-years anniversary party. How wonderful they finally got to marry -- how sad that they had to wait so long!

At work they will get the same benefits and insurance as every other married couple. In healthcare, the spouse will be able to make decisions and have a power of attorney rights. In real property they can have other rights about ownership and responsibilities. They surviving spouse will have legal protections in the event of death. Divorce will have a mix of new rights and responsibilities regarding, children, property and money. In law, now one spouse can't be coerced into testifying against the other.

I'm sure there are lots more, but this is a very good adjunct to this ruling and will prevent the anti-day states from denying normal rights everyone else enjoys to their gay citizens.
