http://www.scrippsmedia.com/ktnv/now-trending/Cab-driver-blams-flat-tire-on-obese-passenger-charges-fee-310125321.html
An overweight and humiliated Italian man was reportedly forced to pay up after the cab he was riding in got a flat tire.
The 336-pound passenger, identified only as M.O., was reportedly picked up at Romes Termini train station and was en route to a medical clinic when one of the cabs back tires blew, forcing the driver to stop and change it.
Clearly unhappy with the circumstances, the driver blamed the occurrence on the obese man who was from Northern Italy riding in the back seat, adding a 50 ($56) fee to his flat rate fare of 30 ($33) for the trip.
USA Today rebuts the drivers bizarre claims, noting, Apparently some cabs in Rome have tires made out of Mylar balloons. If two average-sized 175-pound men had asked for a ride, all four wheels couldve blown out like cheap party favors.
Despite the unfair charge, the passenger evidently wanting the embarrassing situation to simply end agreed to cough up all 80 when finally reaching his destination.

Or two average ones?

(42,760 posts)2. That cab needs an inspection badly.
It's in bad shape if it can't carry the equivalent of two passengers.

(2,331 posts)3. I'd like to see that cab driver try it with me
I'm obese and the last time someone tried that crap was this hairstylist cutting my friend's hair about 13 years ago. He didn't want me to use the toilet because he was sure I'd break it. Yeah, because every day you hear about fat people falling into the john. People are ridiculous. Sometimes fat people do break things. But it's not like thin people or kids never do too.

If I would give him 50 euros for that tire. If he went to the police, I would tell them he was pulling a scam. That's bullshit.
