Why we fought and why we won ....... marriage equality

A lady called into the Frank DeCaro show (OUT Q on Sirius/XM) today summed up why marriage equality is so important. She is a straight woman and has been an ally for us for years. The big reason that she made our cause her cause is because of her best friend. Her friend lost his partner back in the early 1980's. When he died the family swept in like the vultures and took EVERYTHING. He had nothing and basically grieved himself to death a few years later. THAT is why we fought for this day. Men and women like this. That's why we won today.
