Former senator Scott Brown is selling diet pills on his Facebook page now

About his speed.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/06/25/1396588/-Former-senator-Scott-Brown-is-selling-diet-pills-on-his-Facebook-page-now

Everyone's favorite frat boy, former senator Scott Brown, continues to do what he's always done—sell snake oil to whoever is staring at him. He wrote a post a short while ago that begins a little something like this:

I wanted to answer a few questions that people have had about my recent weight loss.

Nope, didn't ask, don't want to know, don't care.

My wife Gail went to the doctors and was very upset when she came home. I was deeply concerned and asked her what was wrong? She said she gained 5 pounds since last year, and that WE were going on a diet. Ha.

I told her that I thought I was in pretty good shape and didn't need to diet. She said she couldn't do it alone. So I stepped on the scale and then I said to her, honey we're going on a diet.

Funny joke. Chicks thinking they're fat, man. Gained five pounds since last year? I gain five pounds after a few brewskies! AmIright????

that the FDA and the commerce department look into Brown. They need to shut down that Facebook page and put him out of commission!

I'm only asking for a friend. But yeah, seriously, the only reason I work out during the week is to ditch the 5 pounds I gained over the weekend from pints of IPA.

3. His wife, Gail Huff, is bringing home the bacon. She's working for that goofy WBIN station.

It's a vanity station owned by a billionaire wingnut. I'm pretty sure he'll make some money on commercials during the primary season; he's probably counting on that. Gail probably is too--he'll probably use her to follow the candidates around and get interviews.

http://www.newenglandone.com/news/local-news/item/1013-gail-huff-joins-nh1-news-as-contributor.html

She left her (good) job at WCVB when he went to Washington, and got a better job at WJLA (which is a flagship, "first tier" station in the DC region) for a while...then she left that gig, and got some kind of a bullshit job working at Marriott in public relations or something on those lines. The SECOND he crapped out and lost his job, they cut her loose. They then sold their MA house and moved to their NH vacation home. Then he ran for the Senate from there, and even Koch money couldn't buy him that gig. No one likes an insincere, stupid, carpetbagging asshole--NH rejected him.

She's doing the heavy lifting, it would appear--when it came to earning, though, I think she always did, save for his brief 35 months as a US Senator.

He's one of the stupidest people I've ever seen come out of BC Law School. That whole "viral ad campaign" crap is cringe-worthy!

gay marriage....

http://www.politico.com/story/2015/03/david-koch-gay-marriage-amicus-brief-115752.html

An attorney for Koch Industries told the Free Beacon that Koch will join the brief in a personal capacity, indicating his support for gay marriage does not necessarily indicate a larger message from the Koch network of donors.

PERSONAL capacity--sounds like there's some family awareness happening that caused a change of heart. Ah, yes, here it is...he has a gay BROTHER (NB--the brother denies it): http://www.vanityfair.com/style/society/2014/05/frederick-koch-brothers

......

Family patriarch Fred Koch strove to teach his sons the value of hard work, by subjecting them to grueling manual labor around the family’s compound in Wichita, Kansas, and on a handful of ranches he owned. Charles told Fortune magazine in 1997 that during a summer of forced labor on one of the family’s ranches as a teenager, Frederick had had a nervous breakdown, (“I have never had a ‘nervous breakdown,’” Frederick says.)

“Father wanted to make all his boys into men and Freddie couldn’t relate to that regime,” Charles told The New York Times’ Leslie Wayne. “Dad didn’t understand and so he was hard on Freddie. He didn’t understand that Freddie wasn’t a lazy kid—he was just different.”

When Frederick was in his 20s, it was an open secret among the family’s circle of friends in Wichita that he was gay. “We all knew Freddie was gay,” said someone who spent time with the family and their friends in the 1950s and 1960s. “You know, those things—especially in an environment like Wichita—were almost whispered. It was common knowledge.”

Frederick could do little to relate to his father or win his approval. “Freddie was a sophisticate and a man of the world, in addition to the fact that he was gay,” says Koch family friend Nestor Weigand. “It wasn’t something that was easily accepted in those days.” (According to Frederick, he is not gay.)

They understand that he's not expecting them to join his bandwagon, and he understands that his support is his alone, not part of/a reflection of any of the donations he bundles as part of SuperPacs.

hetero had "shame" attached to it. He grew up not knowing that he was, in fact, normal, that he was just one type of person in the great buffet that is humankind. He was taught to feel negatively about himself, and it's probably, at his late stage in life, a knee-jerk response. Denial is his coping mechanism!

Wonder if this ruling will change his mind?
